Abheet Solomon is the programme planning and partnerships lead for UNICEF’s global health programme. Based in New York, Abheet is also the lead for UNICEF’s Healthy Environments for Healthy Children programme which focuses on protecting children’s health from the impact of climate change and pollution.
Abheet has worked with UNICEF for over 20 years in various roles across Africa, the Caribbean, South Asia and North America, focusing on UNICEF's programmes on maternal, newborn and child health, education, WASH and child protection.
Abheet has a multi-disciplinary educational background with Master’s degrees in Sociology and Computer Applications from India, in addition to a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce.

UNICEFのグローバルヘルス・プログラムにてプログラムプランニング及びパートナーシップ構築を率いるほか、ニューヨーク本部では、気候変動と環境汚染の影響から子どもたちの健康を守ることに注力した「健康な子どもたちのための健全な環境プログラム」のリードを兼任。
２０年以上にわたるUNICEFのキャリアでは、様々な職務を経験。アフリカ、カリブ海諸国、南アジア及び北アメリカ地域にて、母親、新生児と子どもの保健、教育、水と衛生、子どもの保護プログラムに従事。
商学士に加え、インドで社会学とコンピューターアプリケーションの修士号を取得した、学際的な背景を持つ。
