Sheldon Yett took up the position as UNICEF Representative to Bangladesh on 1 October 2021. Sheldon has worked for UNICEF since 1997, and has extensive experience of managing development programmes and humanitarian emergency responses.
Between 1997 and 2005, Sheldon worked in a range of emergency response-related roles in Burundi, Somalia, Kosovo and UNICEF’s emergency division in New York.
Since 2005, Sheldon has been a UNICEF Country Representative. He most recently served as the UNICEF Representative to the Pacific Island Countries, and has also served previously as the UNICEF Representative to Liberia, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, and Armenia.

シェルドン・イェットは、2021年10月1日にUNICEFバングラデシュ事務所代表に着任。1997年からUNICEFに勤務し、開発事業と緊急人道支援を管理する経験を持つ。
1997年から2005年にわたり、ブルンジ、ソマリア、コソボ、UNICEFニューヨーク本部緊急支援局にて様々な緊急支援対応に従事。
2005年より、UNICEF国事務所代表を務める。直近ではUNICEF太平洋事務所代表、それ以前にはUNICEFのリベリア事務所、北マケドニア事務所、アルメニア事務所で代表を歴任。
